October 4, 2008

Natalie and Amos got married on a lovely fall day in October. As I went through the getting ready pictures,I was struck by Natalie's natural beauty...as you can see in some of the images below. My favorite moment of the day was actually at the reception when the groomsmen picked up Natalie and threw her in the air. I just happened to be standing there and got her face as she went down..and the moment is priceless! They had a blast at the reception as you can see through the pictures. Enjoy the full slideshow here.

Engagement Sessions

'Tis the season for engagement sessions. I really encourage all of my couples to take advantage of engagement pictures. It is a time for me to get to know the couple..and for them to get use to seeing me lay on the ground and climbing up my trusty step stool! More importantly is a special time for the couple to be together and for us to capture some cool imagery without being as rushed as we will be on the wedding day. Enjoy these pictures..and many more sessions that I will post soon.

Interesting story about this next bride to be. Amy has been a bridesmaid in 2 weddings I photographed this year! What a small world.

Family PIctures

Below are some precious pictures from a family session I did for a good friend of mine from high school. It took her little boy awhile to warm up but I think he did after a bit. We had a mega-session with Amy's family, her sister Misty and then we added in their parents. Enjoy the images.

Trash the Dress

So I totally couldn't decide on just a few..so here is a quick preview from my first trash the dress session. It was a complete blast. And I course couldn't have asked for better models. And we actually "trashed" the dress as you can see..but we had fun doing it. Check out the slideshow here.

What a perfect day for a wedding! The weather was perfect for a beautiful fall wedding. The imagery of Wendy walking towards the ceremony and then the married couple walking back..are some of my absolute favorites. And I really enjoyed taking pictures are Buffalo Trace for the first time. It gave me just the right combination of greenery and then industrial buildings as well. What more can I ask for?:-)
